Reputation in the sharing economy

A very interesting TED talk by Rachel Botsman. With which I learn a little bit more about the issues of trust in the sharing economy. It’s about reputation she says. Things I thought were interesting were:

Not having to build different networks of trust on every platform you’re on
The fact that people are putting their online reputations on a significant place on their CV’s

She doesn’t take away the issues that still exist on the subject like: What if for some reason, out of your control your online reputation is damaged and therefore your income decreases?

And the legal situation as it is probably doesn’t support the full matching of online and offline reputation/credit rating. I don’t know I’ll have to find out somewhere.

    It Got me thinking though.
